Books are the quiet form of transmission. What happens on live events only in flashing moments can be traced on paper at one's own pace. Dr. Mark Hosak's three books are the documented backbone of the Shamanic Worlds lineage: wolf shamanism as Master Path, shamanic healing drumming as practice, the Reiki symbols as a bridge between traditions.

Note on languages: The Master Path of the Wolf Shamans and Shamanic Healing Drumming are currently available in German. The Big Book of Reiki Symbols is available in English and several other languages.

The Master Path of the Wolf Shamans

Dr. Mark Hosak

This book is Mark's own work distilled from two decades of lived wolf-shamanism practice. Gathered in one volume: the theory of the Great Wolf across his three cultural realms · Ōkami in East Asia, the Golden Jackal and the Loup de Baron in Africa, Fenrir and the wolf-cross in northern Europe · the initiation stages of the Master Path, concrete rituals, working with shamanic artifacts, and the connection to ancestor work and protection practice.

Mark does not write from secondary literature. Each chapter carries an experience, a ritual, a concrete practice. Ōkami shrines in Japan, the Loup de Baron in Côte d'Ivoire, the pack as a resonance body · the mythological layer is followed all the way down into the ritual instruction. For beginners it is an overview and an entry. For advanced practitioners it is a reference work that keeps opening new layers depending on where the reader stands.

For whom

  • Seekers drawn to the wolf who want to know why
  • Shamanic practitioners looking for a coherent path with a clear lineage
  • People with deep wolf affinity · independent of origin or ancestry
  • Readers who want academic grounding and lived practice in one volume

Shamanic Healing Drumming

Dr. Mark Hosak

The drum is the oldest shamanic tool in the world. It appears in nearly every culture — as the horse that carries the shaman into the other world, as the heartbeat of the earth, as the ritual rhythm that binds the group. This book is an introduction to the practice of shamanic healing drumming.

From the building and initiation of your own drum, through the foundational rhythms for trance journeys, to specialized applications: ancestor work, power animal calls, ritual cleansings. Mark writes out of concrete practice — which rhythms for which purpose, how to build a ritual, what to watch for when the drum becomes the tool of inner work.

For whom

  • Seekers who sense the rhythm taking them somewhere and want to know where
  • Shamanic practitioners wanting to deepen their drum work
  • People entering ancestor and power animal work through the drum
  • Anyone who wants to carry the oldest tool of the shamans into their own practice

The Big Book of Reiki Symbols

Dr. Mark Hosak

The standard work on the Reiki symbols. Translated into several languages, internationally out of print and reissued. Here Mark works out the Siddham roots of the symbols systematically for the first time — that esoteric Sanskrit script that came from Indian Buddhism via China to Japan, where in the Shingon tradition it became the carrier of ritual power.

The book explains the shamanic origin of many symbols and shows how they are actually used in Japanese practice — not in the Western Reiki simplification but back at the source. A bridge opens: from the Reiki known in the West to Shingon Reiki, to esoteric Buddhism, to shamanic Daoism and to the Shugendō traditions from which the symbols originally come.

For whom

  • Reiki practitioners who want to know where the symbols really come from
  • Seekers looking for a bridge between Reiki and Japanese esotericism
  • Everyone who wants to understand and carry the power of ritual script in their own practice
  • People who want to discover Asian calligraphy as a ritual practice
After reading

From the book into practice.

Books are the beginning. Practice begins when what is read lands in the body. With the perception test you check whether the lineage fits you. After that come events, initiations, the Master Path. English-speaking seekers also find live practice in the Japanese Grimoire Society.
